The Onero Exercise Protocol: Get Stronger, Build Bone

We first heard about this program listening to a 2 hour podcast from longevity physician Peter Attia about osteoporosis. We immediately knew that we wanted to do it. We believe in it so much that we are uprooting ourselves from the beautiful clinic that we’ve called “home” for the past 6 years and moving to a spot where we have R O O M to exercise.
I’ve reversed my osteoporosis through strength training (my Tscore went from -2.8 to -2.2 in a year) but the facility where I was training closed down. There are many big differences between my former exercise routine and the Onero program:
- If you want, you can learn the techniques and do it on your own, at home or in a gym. You don’t need an expensive facility to continue the work.
- The exercises are FUNCTIONAL, meaning, they will help you go up and down stairs, get up off the floor, squat, lift, etc. The other system was based on isometric activity which doesn’t necessarily translate to real life.
- The Onero program is SAFE because the classes are lead by a medical professional who adheres to strict guidelines based on the practices of the Bone Clinic in Australia where they have had VERY few injuries and an overall success rate of 84%
Since I’ve been doing these exercises, my posture is better, my hip pain is GONE (thank you glutes and hamstrings!) and walking is more powerful/propulsive. Rich and I are very excited to have found this research-backed method to help us and you enjoy an active life for the next several decades.
